Meet the Founder
Hi, I’m Grace Koonce, M.S., BCBA, CBSP—a Board Certified Behavior Analyst, Certified Behavioral Sleep Practitioner, and the founder of Restore Behavioral Sleep.
Throughout my career, I have worked primarily with autistic individuals across residential, in-home, community, and school settings. Across every environment and developmental stage, one truth remained constant: sleep is universal. Quality sleep is the foundation of learning, emotional regulation, physical health, and overall well-being—not just for the individual, but for the entire family unit. Seeing the profound impact of good sleep inspired me to dive deeper into sleep science. Combining sleep science with behavior analysis allows me to provide focused, sustainable, and evidence-based solutions for my clients. My goal is simple: to help individuals and families get the restorative rest they need and deserve.
When bedtime becomes a daily power struggle or night awakenings lead to exhaustion, families are often left with rigid, generic rules that don't account for how behavior, environment, and communication actually work. As a BCBA, my approach is different. I view sleep as a foundational behavioral skill. By using data-driven, evidence-based behavioral strategies, I help families understand why sleep challenges are happening and build individualized, compassionate plans that fit their needs.
Whether I'm tailoring neurodiversity-affirming sleep strategies for a child with unique sensory and communication preferences, helping parents navigate toddler night awakenings, or guiding an adult through resetting their sleep schedule, I am dedicated to giving you practical, evidence-based tools that bring predictability and balance to your home.
Restore Behavioral Sleep provides non-medical behavioral sleep consulting for individuals ages 1 and older. Services are designed to address behavioral and environmental sleep challenges. We do not diagnose or treat medical sleep disorders (such as sleep apnea). Clients are encouraged to consult a physician to rule out medical conditions.
